We must admit, there have been quite a few woman of color featured in September fashion issues for the 2014 season, and we couldn’t be happier. It shows that we are continuing to break down barriers in the fashion community…..
The latest includes Ms. Erykah Badu as she gives us a rather retro feel in her photo-shoot for In Style Magazine. Of course we love to see creativity in these fashion issues so we welcome the retro change.
The spread for the magazine features Erykah Badu in a black & white motif complete with braided & beads hairstyle and an array of high couture fashion looks. Including fur, metallics and avant-garde designs. Designers from the shoot include Christian Louboutin, Helmut Lang, Emporio Armani, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Hervé Leger, just to name a few.
