Recreate Lupita Nyong’o’s Hairstyle From The MTV Movie Awards. Lupita looked stunning at the MTV Movie awards wearing a chic braided style. Look below to see how hairstylist Larry Sims created her glamorous look which you can recreate at home.
First, Sims applied Smooth ‘N Shine Go Pro Gro Soufflé Lotion on Lupita’s damp hair and blow-dried it to stretch it in length. Next, he braided the starlet’s hair (starting from the back of the top of her head) forward towards her hairline. Thirdly, Sims created a big fishtail braid on the left side of her head and swept it across her forehead.
Next, Sims put the ends of the braid to the sides of her hair and secured them with bobby pins to create a crown finish. After that, Sims smoothed the sides of Lupita’s hair with Smooth ‘N Shine Go Pro Gro Crème Oil and a natural boar bristle brush. Finally, he set the look by applying Göt2b Rise ‘N Shine hairspray.
